Wade Gasque (US,
2014, 75 min)Chet and Todd are both
gay, but that’s about all they have in common. Chet stayed in their small town
in central California, acted the loyal son, and quietly took over the family
hardware store. Todd ran away to LA and cut his ties, living recklessly and
wildly. After the recent death of their father, Todd returns home, and the two
brothers forge a tentative new relationship (albeit peppered with the usual
sibling bickering). TIGER ORANGE is a sweet, touching drama about brotherly
love, forgiveness, and whether to fit in and hide, or stand out and proud.
