ENTR RIOS, EVERYTHING WE LEFT UNSAID
ENTRE RIOS,
EVERYTHING WE LEFT UNSAID
Nelson Schmunk
(Argentina, 2014, 90 min)
Emanuel travels to visit his grandmother Catie,
who lives in the countryside of Argentina. He has a feeling this is going to be
their last goodbye. His mother is looking after Catie and she has decided not
to speak a word to Catie about her diagnosis, because she doesn´t want to upset
her. Emanuel doesn´t agree with this decision, but on the other hand, he is
also hiding his own sexuality from his grandmother. Every little moment shared
among them serves to strengthen their family ties, and cement the gulf that
must exist between them due to Emanuel’s secret. Emanuel must carefully
consider if there are things that are better left unsaid.
